    Renowned Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong’o has died

    The literary world mourns the loss of celebrated author and scholar Ngugi wa Thiong’o, who passed away on Wednesday.

    His daughter, Wanjiku wa Ngugi, announced the news, sharing the family’s grief with the public.

    In a statement, Wanjiku wa Ngugi described her father’s passing as a significant loss, but emphasized his legacy, saying:

    “He lived a full life and fought a good fight.” According to his daughter, Ngugi wa Thiong’o’s last wish was for his loved ones to celebrate his life and work.

    While the cause of death has not been disclosed, the family has promised to share details about his funeral arrangements in the coming days. Nducu wa Ngugi, the family’s spokesperson, will announce the plans for a celebration of life, honoring the author’s memory and contributions.

    Ngugi wa Thiong’o’s passing leaves a void in the literary community, but his body of work will continue to inspire and educate readers worldwide.
