A 33-year-old woman from Chitungwiza, Margaret Rachel Kachave, has given birth to quintuplets at Karanda Mission Hospital.
The newborns consist of three boys and two girls, bringing the total number of children in the family to seven, considering Margaret already had twins.
Margaret’s husband, Valetta Nyamupfukudza, expressed his astonishment at the miracle, saying, “I am yet to believe this miracle.”
The family has received support from the Africa Twins Association (ATA), led by presidents Farai Lawyer Katonha and Tendai Mayor Katonha.
The ATA leaders praised the hospital staff for their exceptional care in delivering the quintuplets safely, despite them being born prematurely at seven months.
They also called for government intervention in such cases, highlighting the importance of quality healthcare services.
The successful delivery showcases the hospital’s commitment to providing excellent medical care, particularly in obstetrics and surgical services.
