The European Film Festival Zimbabwe will showcase at least 10 local short films alongside 27 European and African productions during its 18-day run in Harare, Kadoma, Gweru, and Bulawayo.

According to the festival organizers, the event aims to celebrate cinema, culture, and creativity.

“Movies serve as a universal language, breaking boundaries and uniting people through shared stories. This year’s European Film Festival celebrates not only European cinema but also African and Zimbabwean storytelling, creating a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue,” said Roberta Wagner, festival curator.

This year’s festival, themed “Beyond Boundaries: Empowering Women Through Film,” promises to highlight the talents of local filmmakers and promote cultural understanding.
